Services

Pleasant View is a 120-bed facility designed on one level. The facility is newly decorated to provide a more home-like atmosphere. Single and double rooms are available, each offering a private bathroom. Residents are encouraged to bring items from home to decorate and personalize their rooms.

Skilled nursing services are provided 24 hours a day by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and trained medication aides. Training is provided to RN's and LPN's to enable Pleasant View staff to provide care to those residents needing specialized services such as IV therapy and tracheostomy care. All licensed nurses and many of the nursing assistants are trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Staff strive to provide quality care allowing residents to make their own choices and to remain as independent as possible. Licensed nurses and nursing assistants are assigned to a primary group of residents. By providing primary care, staff becomes familiar with the needs and daily routine of each resident. This plan for providing care also enables staff to build a relationship of trust with the residents and their families.

REHABILITATION Services

Recently Pleasant View set aside a select number of beds dedicated to the sole purpose of serving persons who need rehabilitation services after an illness, injury or surgery.

Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy are available on-site when ordered by the physician. Therapies and nursing use a team approach to provide services to enable residents to regain their abilities and return to their homes or to improve to their maximum level of independence. Therapies are also available on an out-patient basis to tenants of our other housing facilities and to others in the community.

Similar services are also available on an outpatient basis.
